Civil Pilot Training
  • Civil Pilot Training

Cobham Helicopter Academy can deliver EASA-regulated flying training to those customers who need their trainees to have a civil professional pilot’s licence or to those customers who just prefer the reassurance of a globally-recognised pilot training standard. For customers located outside of EASA states, EASA licences can normally be validated into other national Aviation Authorities’ licences in accordance with ICAO and national procedures.

Cobham Helicopter Academy’s EASA ATO can train pilots to PPL(H) and CPL(H) standards, including the Initial Multi-Engine Instrument Rating and ATPL(H) Exam credits. After PPL training, trainees can enter a structured and supervised hours-building phase which aims to make maximum value of those flying hours to develop operational skills specifically tailored to the type of civil, military, or state operations that the trainees will go on to after their training.

For most military or state customers, a combination of EASA civil-regulated training followed by training on Cobham Helicopter Academy’s military-regulated training courses may be the most cost-effective route to achieving the customers’ needs.
